Megastar Amitabh Bachchan in his latest tweet has clarified that he is well and didn’t escape any car accident. Yesterday, news agency PTI reported that the star, who was in Kolkata last week to attend 23rd Kolkata International Film Festival, escaped an accident when one of the rear wheels of his Mercedes got detached.
"The wheel on the left rear-end of the Mercedes carrying Bachchan got detached from the vehicle on Dufferin Road when he was going to the airport to catch a flight for Mumbai on Saturday morning," a senior official at the secretariat confirmed the incident to PTI.
Now, Amitabh took to micro-blogging site Twitter to clarify that those were rumours and nothing as such has happened. He tweeted, “I am informed by concerned well wishers and media, that I had a close escape from a car accident in Kolkata .. that is incorrect .. there has been no accident .. I am well ..”
On a related note, Amitabh was lately seen attending the birthday party of his darling granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan. On the professional front, the actor will be seen sharing the screen space with superstar Aamir Khan and actress Katrina Kaif in Thugs of Hindostan.
