New Delhi: When it was announced that one of the most loved children’s book ‘The Jungle Book’ would be made into a movie, it created a stir among all those whose childhood was associated with it. What created a greater rouse was when Film board gave ‘The Jungle Book’ a U/A certificate.
This rating means that the movie contains mild violence, sensuality and/or language unsuitable for children under 12.
According to CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani, they reached at this decision because they felt some sequences of the film were too scary. He told a leading daily,
“Please don't go by the reputation of the book. See the film and then decide on the suitability of the content for kids. The 3D effects are so scary that the animals seem to jump right at the audience. It's not just the story that determines certification.”

Pahlaj said that entire presentation of the movie was not fir for viewing for children without adult supervision.
“It's the overall presentation, the packaging and most important of all, the visual affects used to tell the story. In Jungle Book the jungle animals jumping at the audience in 3D are startling. It's up to parents to decide how much of these effects are suited for their children.”
Nihalani’s decision did not go well for people and they took to Twitter to flood the micro-blogging site with reactions. Here are a few hilarious tweets by the people to ridicule the censor board’s decision.
