The year 2019 started with a big release at the box office - Uri: The Surgical Strike. Starring Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam, the film is based on the real incidents of the Uri attack and surgical strike of September 2016. The war film has been garnering positive responses from the audience and has also proved to be commercially successful as well as Uri is all set to hit the Rs 100 crore mark soon. Now, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor has watched the film and given his review through his latest tweet.

Praising the film, Rishi Kapoor tweeted, "Saw URI. Terrific war fare film. Perhaps the best ever made in India. It bought the home the point India has nothing against the citizens of Pakistan but those terrorists being trained in camps  against us. Bravo. Let this be an eye opener".

Directed by debutant director Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, the film also stars Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhani and Mohit Raina in pivotal roles.

Rishi Kapoor left for his medical treatment in September 2018. The actor didn’t reveal anything about his illness but urged his fans and media not to speculate anything. The actor didn’t attend his mother Krishna Raj Kapoor’s funeral as he was ailing in New York. Ranbir Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor have been on side ever since then.

Recently, brother Randhir Kapoor gave some update about Rishi Kapoor's health. Speaking to Hindustan Times, he said, “I don't know much about it but this much I can tell you that Rishi is doing well. Let people say whatever they want to. That he is doing is well is evident from the photo that I, too, have seen. He is having a good time with everyone and has stepped out to enjoy a good meal. He will soon be coming back to India. We are looking forward to that right now."
