New Delhi: Mumbai police has contacted Google and YouTube today asking the companies to block AIB comedian Tanmay Bhat's latest Snapchat video in which he made fun of Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar.
As of now the police have not interrogated Tanmay Bhat but he is likely to be called for the questioning, say a police source.
Comedian Tanmay, who is the co-founder of comedy collective AIB, had recently posted a video on his Snapchat and Facebook account which drew flak from personalities from Politics to Bollywood.
The video, mocked the two legends and has shown them using cuss words and derogatory language for each other, drew flak from people on social media.

Raj Thackeray’s party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has registered a complaint in Shivaji Park Police Station against Bhat and others.
On the other hand, Shiv Sena leader Neelam Gorhe has written a letter to the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to take stringent action against AIB and Bhat.
"Such people try to misuse the popularity of icons like Sachin and Lata tai for their own publicity," Gorhe said. "I have also written to Mumbai Police Commissioner seeking action against Tanmay Bhat and AIB," the Sena leader said.
Further, as per reports, Mumbai Police Commissioner has taken the matter into consideration and has issued orders for the investigation into the matter.
Notably, it is not the first time that AIB or its members are facing the police investigation and public ire. Earlier in 2015, AIB (Tanmay and members) had reportedly hit the headlines for vulgar comments and disgusting comedy in their show ‘AIB Roast’.
