This comes as good news to all Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fans as one of the beloved character of the show, Dayaben played by Disha Vakani is not getting replaced. Speculations were rife from quite some time that Disha, who is expecting, is planning to take maternity leave and makers were looking for her replacement. But, latest report suggest that the actress will not be replaced. But, then what is going to be the strategy of the makers?
According to a report published in a leading daily, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah makers think that Disha is an important part of the show and thus don’t want to replace her. During her absence, the show will focus on other characters.
The producer of the show Asit Kumar Modi has stated that he is aware of Disha’s last day but not thinking about it as she is currently shooting. He added that the makers are making full use of her presence and shooting many episodes and close-up shots. Thus, the lady will not have to come again on the sets for shoots and if important, some scenes can also be shot in her home.
So, this has put rumours to rest and people will get to see only Disha as Dayaben. Well, it would never have been possible for any actress to portray Daya Behn as beautifully as Disha.
