Taapsee Pannu compliments ‘Mission Makhan’

Mission Mangal turned 'Mission Makhan' in the latest tribute paid by dairy company Amul India. One of the film's actresses Taapsee Pannu found the buttery twist cool. The brand is known for coming out with quirky tributes to anything that is popular, so an ad featuring Mission Mangal, which has recorded ‘fantastic numbers’ at the box-office. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Mission Mangal, starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee, Sonakshi Sinha and Nithya Menen, it has collected Rs 128.16 crore in India.

Amul gave a shout out to the film, which is based on the Indian Space Research Organisation's successful mission to Mars. "Amul Topical: Bollywood hit on scientists of ISRO who contributed to Mars Orbiter Mission!," read the caption of the image that has a woman and man with ID cards around their necks and having bread with butter sliding on it. The image also has a rocket and 'Amul Mars Appeal' as well as Mission Makhan written on it.

Taapsee tweeted: "How cool! These are always very very special! Thank you Amul! P.S next time I will add that hair band to my look. #MissionMangal #MissionAccomplished #MissionMakhan."

Mission Mangal is being praised for its rich content and a performance-oriented star cast. The film received mixed reviews from the critics but good word-of-mouth on social media benefitted heavily to the film. The movie, based on a true story of India’s mission to Mars, is about ordinary people achieving the extraordinary. Directed by Jagan Shakti, the film is co-produced by ‘PadMan’ director R Balki.
