Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who has today released the trailer of his upcoming film Raabta reacted on fairness debate started by Abhay Deol saying that it is not right to prefer one skin tone over another.
While speaking at the trailer launch of the film, Sushant was asked to give his view on endorsing fairness creams to which the actor said that as responsible actors and citizens, people should never prefer one skin tone over other.
Lately, Abhay Deol slammed many Bollywood actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor for endorsing fairness products. He then got in debate with his Aisha co-star Sonam Kapoor, who dragged Abhay’s sister Esha Deol by sharing her picture from such endorsements.
While Sonam was trolled for her tweet, Abhay made it clear that he is against the concept of promoting fairness and not any Bollywood celebrity. Abhay was supported by many on social media.
Now, Sushant has also raised his support to the actor.
On the work front, Sushant is sharing screen space for the first time with Kriti Sanon in Raabta. The movie gives a modern twist to the reincarnation tale. Directed by Dinesh Vijan, Raabta is slated to release on June 9.
