Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Drive, which was scheduled to release last year, was later pushed to June 28, 2019. But, if the latest reports are to be believed, the movie won't release on the given date. The release date of Dharma Productions' action thriller has again been postponed due to post-production work.
As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the post-production work is taking longer than expected as the film is high on action scenes. There are multiple racing scenes and the visual team working on Drive don't want to leave any stones unturned to make it spectacularly thrilling for the audience.
''The final edit has been locked, and presently the film is in the final stage of post-production. Contrary to reports that it is being reshot or will be premiered on the digital platform, Drive is on course to a regular theatrical release in the second half of the year,'' the source said. Drive will hit the screens this year only and the makers will soon announce its new release date.
Helmed by Dostana fame Tarun Mansukhani, who is staging his comeback to direction after 11 years, Drive promises to keep its audience at the edge of their seats. In the film, Sushant plays the role of a stunt driver who embarks on a dangerous journey of the underworld with his neighbour.
On a related note, Sushant also has films such as Dil Bechara, Chhichhore in the pipeline. Jacqueline, on the other hand, is all set to venture into the digital platform with Netflix's Mrs Serial Killer. The project helmed by Shirish Kunder tells the story of a wife, whose husband is framed in serial murders, hence, to save her husband, she does a murder exactly like the serial killer.
