New Delhi: Actress Surveen Chawla made a smashing debut in Bollywood with ‘Hate Story 2’ in 2014. The movie earned her the image of a bold actress, thanks to her sensual role on the celluloid.
In a recent interview, she got candid about many things in her life, and also revealed why she didn’t do any movie post 'Hate Story 2'.
“People label you, and they don’t see what more you are capable of. Film-makers should see if actors fit their characters. Post Hate Story 2, everyone felt that since I have done a sensual role, they can give me similar ones. But, when people offer me a ‘bold’ role, it flabbergasts me. Why don’t the makers look beyond, and see what the actor is capable of doing?” she said in the interview.
In the conversation, the lady also made a shocking confession about facing casting couch in the film industry, as per the reports on SpotBoye.
“Oh ya! But surprisingly not in Bollywood. It came from the South industry. I haven’t seen the bad side of Bollywood yet. It seems like I have had some protective forces around me” she told.
When asked about how she dealt with the situation, Surveen quipped,
”Don’t remind me of those phone calls and text messages. I wasn’t game for it. I will wait for the right kind of work. If I have it in me, everything will fall in place. You need a bit of luck too in this industry.”
There is good news for all those waiting to watch the actress in action. Surveen, reportedly, will feature next in season 2 of Anil Kapoor’s TV series ‘24’.
