After the intriguing trailer, the makers of Sui Dhaaga: Made in India have dropped the first song of the film titled Chaav Laaga. Featuring lead stars Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma, the song has an unmissable flavour of old school influences, quite like Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar's 2015 sleeper hit, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, which was also scored by Malik.
Taking to Twitter, Anushka Sharma shared Sui Dhaaga Chaav Laaga song with a caption that read, “Life partners से business partners...Our new song #ChaavLaaga is here!”.
The 2.51-minutes-long video of the song is a montage of Mauji (Varun Dhawan) and Mamata's (Anushka Sharma) struggle to start their own business. In these moments of hardship, they steal a romantic look, share a meal together, travel great lengths to become somebody in the world filled with nobodies.
Composed by veteran music director Anu Malik, the song shows off vocal talents of Papon and Ronkini Gupta. Varun Grover, who is coming off the success of his TV series Sacred Games has penned the lyrics for this honey-dipped melody.
