After earning double figures during its first weekend, Karan Johar's Student of the Year 2 starring Tiger Shroff and newbies Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria, the film fell flat at the box-office on Monday. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, SOTY 2 witnessed over 54 per cent on Monday earning Rs 5.52 crore. With the Monday collections, the latest Student of the Year 2 Box Office Collection stands at Rs 44.35 crore.
Taran Adarsh wrote, "#StudentOfTheYear2 declines 54.23% on Mon [vis-à-vis Fri]... Slows at plexes of Mumbai, Delhi, NCR [where it was performing best]... Fri 12.06 cr, Sat 14.02 cr, Sun 12.75 cr, Mon 5.52 cr. Total: ₹ 44.35 cr. India biz. #SOTY2".
Tiger Shroff was at the centre of social media memes and trolls frenzy the day the film's trailer dropped. Asked about handling criticism, the actor said, "I've been getting trolls and memes since my first film released. It means nothing to me. But I guess, any sort of PR is good PR.

After SOTY 2, Tiger Shroff will return to his action avatar as he gets ready for the upcoming action film "Baaghi 3" and an untitled project with Hrithik Roshan. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the movie also stars Vaani Kapoor.
