Stree Movie Box Office Collection Day 16: Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor’s film crosses Rs 100 crore mark| Bollywood News

Stree has now become the 9th Bollywood film of 2018 to hit 100 crore mark after fter Padmaavat, Raazi, Gold, Baaghi 2, Raid, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Sanju and Race 3.

Stree Box Office Collection Day 16: Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor’s film crosses Rs 100 crore mark

Bollywood film Stree, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor has hit the Rs 100 crore mark at the box-office. In just two weeks of its release, Stree became Rajkummar Rao's highest grosser ever. The film has beaten the lifetime collections of Aamir Kha starrer Talaash - The Answer Lies Within, which made Rs 93.40 crore back in 2012. For those unaware, Talaash featured Rajkummar Rao in a supporting role. Now, Stree has become the first Rajkummar Rao film to cross Rs 100 crore at the box-office.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “And #Stree hits a century... Crosses ₹  cr mark... [Week 3] Fri 2.14 cr, Sat 3.76 cr. Total: ₹ 101.43 cr. India biz... This one’s a LOTTERY for its investors”.

Stree is a horror-comedy directed by Amar Kaushik, the film also features Aparshakti Khurrana, Pankaj Tripathi and Vijay Raaz.

The film garnered attention due to its unique plot based on the urban legend of Nale Ba. Bollywood trade analyst had further attributed the footfalls to positive word of mouth. He also predicted that further growth is expected on the third day.

The film, which also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana and Abhishek Banerjee, has received positive reviews from the audiences and critics alike.

Stree also marks the directorial debut of Amar Kaushik and is produced by DK and Raj, the makers of zombie comedy Go Goa Gone.
