Superstar Shah Rukh’s latest release ‘Raees’ is unstoppable at the box office. The movie is strongly making its way towards the coveted 100-crore club. On the other hand, the journey of Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ towards the big number is going to be really tough. The weekend collections of both the movies are out and clearly Shah Rukh Khan starrer is way ahead of ‘Kaabil’.
‘Raees’ minted Rs 15.61crore on Saturday and Rs 17.80 crore on Sunday making Rs 33.41crore its total weekend collection. Hrithik starrer fetched Rs 13.54 crore and Rs 15.05 crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively. The weekend collection of the film was Rs 28.59 crore.
The total collection of ‘Raees’ till now is Rs 93.24 crore. Thus in coming days, the movie will certainly make its entry to the 100 crore club. ‘Kaabil’ has minted Rs 67.64 crore till now. The numbers speak themselves and now there is no doubt that the margin between the collections has increased.
‘Raees’ received a bumper opening of Rs 20.42 crore whereas Hrithik’s film earned Rs 10.43 crore on its opening day.
Shah Rukh played the role of a bootlegger in ‘Raees’ and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan was seen as his love interest. ‘Kaabil’ featured Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam as visually impaired people. Both the movies released on January 25.
