Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is carrying out the promotions of his upcoming film ‘Raees’ alone. Pakistani actress Mahira Khan who is playing the female lead in the film is not a part of promotions in India owing to the ban put on Pakistani artists. But, why is she absent from ‘Raees’ promotional events in Dubai?
Many pictures of the entire team of ‘Raees’ surfaced on the social networking sites. Shah Rukh, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, director Rahul Dholakiya and Producer Ritesh Sidhwani flew down to Gulf country for promotions but Mahira was not seen in any of the pictures.
Well, in his previous interviews, SRK cleared that Mahira had a powerful role in the film. Her absence from promotional events is raising many eyebrows. It is predicted that makers are now playing safe to avoid controversies.
Meanwhile, in Dubai, SRK interacted with his fans and also revealed that he had fun playing the bad guy in the movie. The crowd in the city welcomed SRK with warm hearts.
After the Uri attacks, Indian Motion Pictures Association put a ban on Pakistani artists. Filmmaker Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ had to face irk of many because of the presence of Fawad Khan in the flick.
On a related note, ‘Raees’ is slated to hit the screens on January 25.
