Bollywood tabloids these days are filled with news of movies clashing at the box office. After the big Diwali tussle between ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushki’ and ‘Shivaay’, now again two big stars are all set to lock horns on Independence Day, next year. Akshay Kumar’s ‘Crack’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s tentatively titled ‘The Ring’ will mark of the one of the biggest clashes of next year.

Yesterday, superstar Salman Khan unveiled the first look and release date of Imtiaz Ali’s next flick. However, the title of the film is yet to be decided but it is scheduled to release on August 11. Along with SRK, it also features actress Anushka Sharma.

On the other hand, few months back Neeraj Pandey released the poster of his upcoming flick ‘Crack’. The poster didn’t feature Akshay but it was confirmed that film would hit the screens on Independence weekend.

Currently, Akshay is occupied with the work of ‘Jolly LLB 2’, ‘Robot 2.0’ and ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’. Observing the fact that SRK has shot major portions of the flick and Khiladi Kumar has not started shooting for ‘Crack’, it can be expected that the release date of the latter may get pushed in future.

But if the ‘Airlift’ star completes the schedule on time then this is definitely going to be a big box office battle. It seems that movie buffs will witness many buzz worthy clashes in the coming year. Not to forget, SRK’s upcoming film ‘Raees’ will be competing with ‘Kaabil’ featuring Hrithik Roshan in January.

Shah Rukh’s last on-screen venture was ‘Dear Zindagi’ alongside Alia Bhatt. The film is generating good box office collection. Whereas, Akshay was last seen in ‘Rustom’ that entered the 100-crore club.
