The star kid Jhanvi Kapoor has been making news thanks to her amazing fashion sense and of course, her big Bollywood debut. She is all set to star in Dharma Production’s next venture Student of the Year 2. However, when doting mother Sridevi was asked to comment her daughter’s Bollywood career, she didn’t say much. The Hawa Hawai actress, who will be seen next in Mom, said that she would be happier to see Jhanvi get married rather than doing films.

Jhanvi and Khushi Kapoor just saw Mom, which happens to be Sridevi’s 300th film and, the sister duo can’t stop praising the film. In an interview with Mid-Day, the 53-year-old actress spoke about her relationship with her daughters. “We are like friends. We spend a lot of time together. Our routine is always centered around each other. I have been coming home late these days because I’m busy dubbing and promoting the film. But no matter how late I get, Khushi, always welcomes me with a smile. She comes to my room as soon as I get back and we snuggle up in a quilt to watch a film together.”
Further, Sridevi said that she didn’t want her daughter Jhanvi to enter Bollywood and discouraged her when Student of The Year 2 came her way. “She wanted to do the film and initially, I wasn’t in favour. I don’t think it’s a bad industry. I am a creation of this world. But, as a parent, it would give me greater joy to see her married. But her happiness matters more, and if she does well as an actress, I will be a proud mother”, the actress said.
On the career front, Sridevi will be seen in Mom which is based on the complexities of a mother-daughter relationship. The movie is set to release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malyalam. Sridevi says it is difficult to dub in all the languages.The film is being helmed by director Ravi Udyawar and produced by Boney Kapoor, Sunil Manchanda and Zee Studios. Musical maestro A.R. Rahman has been roped in to do the music for the film.
