The actress breathed her last in a Dubai hotel where she stayed after attending her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding. Sridevi began her acting career as a child artist and then went on to establish herself as a leading actress of South and Hindi film industry. Her last movie Mom was her 300th film and this tells a lot about her remarkable journey. Needless to say, why she was called India's first female superstar.

Ahead of her first death anniversary, Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor also shared a heart-melting post on Instagram. Sharing a picture, she wrote, ''My heart will always be heavy. But I’ll always be smiling because it has you in it''. Sridevi passed away before Janhvi's Bollywood debut Dhadak.
