Actor Taapsee Pannu said that she is confident the audience will remember her even if she appears on the screen for five scenes. Taapsee will be next seen in Soorma which tells the story of Sandeep Singh, a professional hockey player and former captain of the Indian national team.

Singh was seriously injured after hit by an accidental gunshot in a train in 2006 but he did not give up and continued playing.

When asked if she feared being overshadowed, Taapsee told reporters, "I don't think screen time matters. Even if I have five scenes in the film, I know the audience will remember me after coming out from the theatre. That much confidence I need to have in myself as an actor. It is not necessary to be hero all the time."

The Pink actor was speaking at the trailer launch of the film here.

Directed by Shaad Ali, Soorma is scheduled to release on July 13. The film sees Diljeet Dosanjh step into the shoes of Singh and is glad he did not refuse the movie.

"I told them 'Make me do any film, a romantic one, make me do it for free, but not hockey as it will require a lot of hard work and maybe I wouldn't be able to do it'. But they were very convinced so I heard the story. I would have taken a wrong decision in my career if I had not done Soorma," Diljeet said.

At the event, Singh was also present and praised the Punjabi actor's dedication and performance.

"There's no one beyond him who could have done it. The best part about him is that you have to tell him only once, then he just copy-pastes," he said.
