Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor ‘stunned’ after watching Dhadak, laud Janhvi Kapoor’s performance
Veteran actress Sridevi’s elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor is all set to make her big Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s production venture Dhadak. The film, directed by Shashank Khaitan, is all set to hit the cinemas on July 20. With just five days remaining for the film to release, Janhvi’s cousin Sonam Kapoor has watched Dhadak and, given her review. Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor is also all praises for the film, which also stars Ishaan Khatter.
The Dhadak team held a special screening of the film for Janhvi and Ishaan’s family and close friends from the industry last night.
Sonam Kapoor took to Twitter and, was all praise for cousin sister Janhvi Kapoor. “What a stunning debut @janhvikapoor so so proud! Moved beyond words. @ishaankhattar you are magnificent. And this is all thanks to @ShashankKhaitan who has brilliantly captured their innocence, vulnerability and strength! Stunned!!!!!!”.
On the other hand, Anil Kapoor wrote, “ Saw #Dhadak last night and all I have to say is #JanhviKapoor & @imIshaanKhatter both are already stars! Their innocence & love will steal your hearts for sure! Loved it!”.
Dhadak is already winning hearts with its trailer and recent song launches of Zingaat and Dhadak Title Track. It is slated to release on July 20, 2018.
Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, who are have been on their toes since the trailer was out, recently flew to Lucknow to spread the word about the film. While greeting fans at a mall, Ishaan went down on his knees for Janhvi as they danced to their movie’s title track, Dhadak Hai Naa.
Dhadak is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Zee Studios and Apoorva Mehta. The romantic movie is helmed by Shashank Khaitan. Two songs from the movie, Zingaat and Dhadak title track, was unveiled recently and it had already managed to top the charts. Both the songs have been remade in Hindi.
