New Delhi: For quite long in her career now, actress Sonakshi Sinha has been criticised for not choosing roles which are meaty enough. But she might just change that with Akira.
In ‘Akira’, Sonakshi plays the role of a journalist and she shared the teaser poster of the movie on social media.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, who had earlier helmed movies like Ghajini and Holiday, Akira is an action drama.
The poster which had the tagline, ‘No one will be forgiven’, looks quite intriguing. Check it out here:
A few days ago, pictures of Sonakshi’s avatar from Akira had gone viral. While in one picture she was seen sporting a pair of spectacles, her short hair-do took away the attention in the other one.

Reportedly, Akira will also see Sonakshi doing some martial arts moves. It is the remake of Tamil film Mouna Guru and will hit theatres on September 2. It also has Konkana Sen Sharma in a pivotal role.
Well, we all have been fans of Sonakshi;s wit on social media, but sadly that was never seen on screen. She has usually done movies in which the story revolved around her male co-star, be it Dabangg, Rowdy Rathore or Holiday. Though, these movies were box office hits, there was little for Sonakshi to do as far as acting was concerned. But, maybe Akira will establish that Sonakshi is much more than a pretty face.
