Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan’s Simmba is on a roll. The film is doing magnificently well at the box office, both domestic and worldwide. Directed by Rohit Shetty, this cop drama has successfully zoomed past the coveted Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic box office as well. Simmba had already made more than Rs 100 crore at the global box office. The film opened to the gigantic numbers of Rs 20 crore on December 28, despite being a working Friday. The numbers rose after positive word of mouth from the audience.

Sharing the box office numbers, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “#Simmba starts 2019 with a big bang... Runs riot at the BO on Day 5 [1 Jan 2019]... Is truly UNSTOPPABLE... He also shared another interesting fact that Simmba is doing exceptionally well in Mumbai alone. The film is gearing up to hit the Rs 50 crore mark in Mumbai alone. He wrote, “While #Simmba is a massive success, it’s having a dream run in Mumbai circuit... Nears ₹ 50 cr mark in *5 days* in Mumbai circuit alone... An EXTRAORDINARY feat...

Fri 7.77 cr... Sat 9.11 cr... Sun 12.13 cr... Mon 8.16 cr... Tue 9.48 cr... Total: ₹ 46.65 cr. Mumbai circuit biz.”
