Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan’s Simmba refuses to slow down at the box-office. Rohit Shetty's action-cop-drama has managed to earn Rs 212.43 crore at the Indian box office so far. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Simmba minted Rs 4.29 crore on Thursday, which means that Simmba enjoyed a fantastic second week run at the box-office. "#Simmba has a fantastic Week 2... Witnessed good trending across the week, which added to an impressive total... [Week 2] Fri 9.02 cr, Sat 13.32 cr, Sun 17.49 cr, Mon 6.16 cr, Tue 6.03 cr, Wed 5.31 cr, Thu 4.29 cr. Total: ₹ 212.43 cr. India biz", Taran Adarsh announced Simmba Box Office Collection.
"#Simmba now eyes ₹ 225 cr in Weekend 3, which should be an easy target to achieve... Much depends on the BO response to the new films [#UriTheSurgicalStrike, #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister] and to what extent they affect #Simmba, especially at multiplexes", Taran Adarsh said.
Ranveer’s previous biggest hits include his three films with Deepika Padukone and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali - Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram Leela, Bajiraro Mastani and Padmaavat, which made Rs 112 crore, Rs 183 crore and Rs 282 crore in India, respectively.
With Simmba, Ranveer Singh is roaring loud and clear as the box-office numbers are expected to grow this weekend. On the other hand, new Bollywood releases such as Uri: The Surgical Attack and The Accidental Prime Minister have hit the cinema halls today. We have to wait and see whether the real-life based stories can slow down Simmba's box-office figures.
