Actor Sidharth Malhotra has finally opened up on his relationship with Alia Bhatt saying that two are more than just ‘good friends’.
The actor confessed that he shares a great bond with Alia and was attached to her emotionally.
Sidharth’s statement has indeed made the heads turn as these have added fuel to the reports of him dating the bubbly actress.
“Alia and I have a terrific bond because of the number of films we have done together. We have been friends for a long time. Over the years, we have gone beyond being just colleagues and friends. You are bound to have an emotional connect when you spend so much time with someone. But, at its core, Alia and I share a deep friendship that remains unaffected by what’s written about us and what people say,” Sidharth reportedly told a leading daily.
Interestingly, Alia and Sidharth made their Bollywood debut together with Karan Johar’s ‘Student Of The Year’ in 2012. Since then the reports of their link up have been doing the rounds.
While Alia always maintained the ‘just friends’ tag, her constant appearance with the ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ actor narrated the other part of the story. The two were even spotted on a vacation in New York early this year.
Recently, Alia also confessed that Sidharth is an important part of her life and she is extremely fond of him.
But despite dropping so many links, the couple is yet to make their rumoured relationship official.
On the work front, Sidharth Malhotra is busy promoting his upcoming movie ‘Baar Baar Dekho’. Sid will be seen romancing Katrina Kaif for the first time in the movie. Directed by Nitya Mehra, ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ is scheduled to release on September 09.
