On September 1 last year, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar’s film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan released in theatres. It was a one of a kind Bollywood film which talked about sexual wellness and erectile dysfunction at lengths. Never before that any other filmmaker tried to attempt a film on such an audacious topic in a country where people just want to believe that sex doesn’t exist. A year has passed ever since this landmark Bollywood film released. On this day, the lead actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar got nostalgic and shared pictures and videos from the film on their social media accounts.
Ayushmann Khurrana wrote, “Always stand up for love! Thank you for the love and faith.”
On the other hand, Bhumi Pednekar shared a still from the song ‘Kankad’ on her Instagram account.
She wrote, “Mudiit, Sugandha aur Parivaar”
Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is a film about a Delhi-based couple whose life was thrown topsy-turvy when they find out about boy’s erectile dysfunction. It also talks at lengths how traditional household are too shy to talk about sex with their children, even when they are ready to enter the marital phase of their life.
On the work front, Ayushmann Khurrana will be featuring with Radhika Apte in Sriram Raghavan’s Andhadhun while Bhumi Pednekar will be next seen in Son Chiriya.
