Images of a lunch date of actress Shriya Saran and West Indies cricketer Dwayne Bravo got rumour mills abuzz. It was made to believe that two may be seeing each other, but the South Indian beauty has now said that she was single.
Last week, pictures of them leaving a plush Mumbai restaurant after lunch made way for these rumours. Though, Shriya tried best to escape shutterbugs, Dwayne seemed quite comfortable with the attention. It was rumoured that the two were a thing since Dwayne started playing for IPL team Chennai Super Kings in 2014.
More fuel was added to these rumours since Dwayne took out time from his busy schedule for the lunch date. He was in Mumbai to shoot for a video song in Anubahv Sinha’s ‘Tum Bin 2’ with actress Neha Sharma. He also shot for a dance reality show in which he was expected to enter as a wild card contestant.
But Shriya has put a full stop on all the speculations saying she is enjoying and happy being single. She added that it was just a casual lunch between Dwayne and her, and nothing more than it.
“I am not dating anyone. It was just a casual lunch in Mumbai. In fact, I am single and happy, and am loving it,” Shriya said.
While Shriya may have cleared the air on the matter, this was also the age old style of Bollywood to cover up affairs.
Shriya also spoke about her presence at the Republican Hindu Coalition fundraiser held in New Jersey. She said that she performed at the event because it was intended to raise funds for victims of terrorism.
“It was entertainment for a cause,” Shirya added.
