This is for the fourth time when Shraddha’s film is postponed and this time it is shifted due to clash with Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao starrer Bareilly Ki Barfi.
Earlier, Haseena Parkar was scheduled to release on August 18, but the film has been postponed once again. The makers of Hassena Parker stating the reason of the film postponement said that they don’t want competition of their film with any big movie.
In an interaction with Deccan Chronicle filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia was quoted saying as, "There is no point in trying to get into the current clutter of releases. We all can see what is happening to all the films that are coming out. If we came on August 18, we would have Shah Rukh Khan's Jab Harry Met Sejal and Akshay Kumar's Toilet Ek Prem Katha behind us."
Further the director said, "Akshay's film has tax exemption. Why should we do something as suicidal as to release our film at a time when the competition is not only tough, but impossible to cope with?"

Hassena Parkar is a film based on the life history of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and Shraddha will be seen portraying the role of Dawood’s sister. Shraddha’s real life brother Siddhanth Kapoor will be seen portraying the character of Dawood in the film.
