The lovely and talented Shraddha Kapoor is often linked up with Farhan Akhtar for quite some time now. While speculations are rife that the celeb duo are in a relationship, the actress has now opened up to clear the ongoing rumours.
It is rumoured that the young actress is dating Farhan, her co-star from Rock on 2 , who divorced his wife Aduhna Bhabhani in April 2017. As per the gossip mongers, Farhan’s illicit affair with Shraddha was one of the key reason behind his split.
Shraddha who is keeping busy with the promotions of her upcoming film Half Girlfriend rubbished the rumours of her dating Farhan. She said that she ignore such baseless rumours as she can't control them.
In a recent interview with Filmfare, the 30-year old actress revealed her current relationship status.
"I am happy being single and focussing on my work. Agar boyfriend hota toh main distract ho jaati. Right now I don't feel it's necessary. Yes, sometimes it's difficult to give time to a relationship. But I don't believe it's impossible”, said Shraddha.
Further she said that her definition and understanding of love keeps evolving.
“My current understanding of love is that when it happens you cannot deny it; you can't help it, no matter what you do. I view love as a necessity. Pyar har insaan ki zindagi me bahut zaroori hai. I was, but I don't want to be a possessive girlfriend anymore. I want to give space to that person. Allow them to do what they want”, added Shraddha.
On the work front, Shraddha will be seen next in Mohit Suri’s Half Girlfriend opposite Arjun Kapoor.
The film will hit the cinemas on May 19.
