Actress Erika Kaar, who will be making her Bollywood debut with Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’ has revealed that she was almost roped in for a role in fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones’. Erika was supposed to do a small role in final episode of the sixth season.
“In the last episode of season six, where Arya Stark disguises herself as another woman and says ‘eat the pie’, I was supposed to be that girl. I played the part for audition. The casting people called my agent and said I was great because I did the part very well.
“But they said I was ‘too American’ because the part had to be more of British. I almost got it but the accent was too American. But my friend got that part so I was happy,” Erika told PTI in an interview.
The TV series is an adaptation of George RR Martin’s fantasy novels “A Song of Ice and Fire”. Erika says she was not heartbroken that she did not get the part and hopes to feature on “Game of Thrones” in the future.
“I am a huge fan of ‘Game of Thrones’. But I am happy because may be I will get a bigger part in the future as I didn’t get the tiny part… I think I could play a Southern princess. I would really love to be a part of the series, it will be a great opportunity.”
The actress, meanwhile, is awaiting the release of Shivaay which is produced and directed by Ajay Devgn. The action-adventure film also marks the acting debut of Sayyeshaa Saigal, the grand niece of veteran actor Dilip Kumar and is scheduled to release on October 28, during Diwali.
