New Delhi: It’s been a while that Shilpa Shinde and her ongoing tussle with the producers of TV show ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ has been the talk of the town.
While the actress claimed that the producers were uncooperative with her, the makers called Shilpa as highly unprofessional.
As this scuffle continues, looks like Shilpa is at loggerheads with her replacement Shubhangi Atre as well.
Shubhangi has replaced Shilpa and is the new ‘Angoori Bhabhi’ on the show.
When quizzed about Shubhangi’s performance as Angoori in ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’, Shilpa stated that she is a good at copying.
“She is a good copy cat. I have seen her on the show. You can make someone look and dress like Angoori, but it's not easy to act like Angoori. She is a good actress and will definitely do well in her career if she stops imitating and does something original,” Shilpa told an entertainment portal.
Talking about her fight with the producers and CINTAA, Shilpa said, “I am motivated to continue this fight as I know that I have done no wrong. I am not scared. Yes, some people got upset that I got politicians involved in the case, but I was left with no choice. CINTAA and the producers were the ones playing politics.”
“Kya maanga tha maine (what did I ask for?) I worked hard for the show and my character became popular. Apna aukat dekh ke hi per day maanga tha maine (Depending on my worth I asked for a raise). What’s wrong in that? It was such a small issue which could have been sorted out, but they blew it out of proportion. Now, let’s see where it ends,” she further added.
On the other hand, Shubhangi is way too excited to play the role of Angoori and states, “Comparisons are bound to happen and I am open to that scrutiny. As actors we wait for such opportunities. It's a huge responsibility to be selected to play an immensely popular character on television.”
