New Delhi: Actress Shilpa Shinde became a household name after she played Angoori Bhabhi in ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai’. At the height of her stardom, Shilpa startled everyone when she quit the show alleging that the producers have been torturing her mentally.
The fight between Shilpa and producer Binaifer Kohli intensified after CINTAA (Cine and TV artists association) stepped in. Things turned ugly for Shilpa when CINTAA said that they might impose a ban on her through which no producer or channel would be allowed to work with her.
While this could have been shocking news for any artist, Shilpa seems to be in no mood to bow down to anything coming her way and said that no one has the right to stop her from working.
In her interview to a leading English daily, Shilpa said,
“CINTAA has no right to interfere. The matter is now legal. The producer (Binaifer) has sent me a legal notice and I have replied to that. CINTAA has no right say I am unprofessional. It is the fight between me and the producer. I told CINTAA about my problems with the producers but they didn’t do anything. Now when we have gone legal, they don’t have the right to pass any such order. They have no right to stop me from working.”
Shilpa was in talks with the makers of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ and it was being said that she would play the role of a seductive nurse in the much awaited show. However, since Shilpa comes with a lot of legal baggage, the makers decided on dropping her and brought in model Rochelle Maria Rao instead, suggested media reports.
Former Angoori Bhabhi confirmed she is not a part of the show but because producer Binaifer is bringing in all producers together and asking them to not work with her. She said,
“I will prove in the court that she has stopped me from working.”

Shilpa clearly understands that she had become one of telly town’s most loved characters but she feels that it is okay if the show suffers because of her exit.
“They are trying to scare me but I am not afraid. Unke show (Bhabhi ji Ghar Par Hai) ki band baja hai. They thought they could get me back easily but then I am made of stronger stuff. Their show will suffer because I cannot be replaced.”
A furious Shilpa said,
“It is impossible to settle the matter. I will not leave the producer (Binaifer). I want such producers banned from the industry. They are harassing artists. We are here to entertain and they are harassing us.”
