Renowned choreographer of B-town Shiamak Davar recently opened up and praised Govinda to the fullest. The star choreographer who has directed all the acts for Zee Cine Awards 2017 was extremely impressed with the veteran actor’s dancing skills.
Davar, who has made a string of Bollywood stars dance, has choreographed Govinda and actress Raveena Tandon for Zee Cine Awards, to be held here on Saturday night.
Talking about working with them for the first time for a show, Shiamak said: "Govinda came and just watched the moves and said 'No problem, I will do it' and he went. Later, he came and learnt everything very quickly. But when you see him dancing, there is no other dancer like Govinda."
"He not only dances, but his expressions are the best thing to watch. Like Madhuri (Dixit), who is known for her expressions, Govinda is also an expression master."
Raveena will be joining Govinda on stage.
"Raveena is a powerhouse dancer. Govinda and Raveena are fun to work with and I can assure that they will create magic on stage," said the dance therapist, who is also the Founder and Director of Shiamak Davar International India Pvt Ltd.
Speaking about some of his most celebrated students, he said: "Among my students, Shahid is my favourite as he was first from my institute who became a huge star. Apart from Shahid, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and Gauri Khan were also my students. So to see them growing so much over the years, I feel very proud of them."
In the past year, several choreographers including Remo D'Souza have tried their hands at directing films, but Shiamak says he's not interested.
"I have come here to teach dance. If I start focusing on direction, then I will be neglecting my dance school, which I don't want to do," he said.
Shiamak, who has choreographed dance sequences in films like "Dil To Pagal Hai", "Taal", "Bunty Aur Babli" and "Dhoom 2", says he gives his first priority to teaching dance.
"I always try to share my dance knowledge with children in school, colleges and classes but I might be doing a music video in future as I love singing," added the "Mohabbat kar le" crooner.
