New Delhi: The death news of veteran actor Shashi Kapoor went viral on Twitter today, thanks to the mischief mongers for whom spreading fake rumours is an easy task.
Soon after the news spread, people bombarded the condolences and heartfelt messages on social media but nobody cared to check out for the credibility of the news.
The matter went to extreme that finally a member from the Kapoor family came out to tell the reality to the world.
Rishi Kapoor, seeing the things going awry, took to his Twitter account and cleared the air about the issue. He tweeted, “Uncle Shashi Kapoor is doing fine. Hope this ends all the speculation about him. Some rumour mongering is happening.”

This is not the first instance where an actor’s fake death news went buzzing on social media. Few days back, singer Lata Mangeshkar and megastar Amitabh Bachchan too became victim of such prank from the social media mongers.
