New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan seems to be having a hard time at the box office these days. Earlier, his hyped release in 2015 ‘Dilwale’ failed to impress the audience, and now his recent release ‘Fan’ is going flat at the box office.
Although, the audience was quite impressed with the first half of the movie, they were disappointed with the second half, hence, spoiling the entire image of the ‘Fan’.
However, it has been reported that YRF head honcho Aditya Chopra is the person behind ‘Fan’ debacle.
According to the media reports, Aditya Chopra insisted on making changes in the second part which actually stretched the movie.
“Aditya Chopra wanted the second half to be different from the first half. He wanted a completely different story to be shown and so the chase sequences and prolonged action scenes were later added,” a source reportedly told an entertainment portal.
On the other hand SRK, reportedly, wasn’t much comfortable with these changes and even wanted to shorten the length of movie, especially the second half. Infact, King Khan even had a word with Aditya Chopra about it, but in vain.
“Shah Rukh wanted the film’s length to be cut short as it was too long but Aditya Chopra wouldn’t hear any of it. He didn’t budge from his stand and Fan went as per Adi’s instructions,” the source added.
Although, YRF Films have rubbished the reports saying, “This is a baseless story and there’s no truth to it”, but the fact is ‘Fan’ has failed to leave a mark on the audience or cross Rs 100 crore mark even after the second weekend.
Who is to be blamed, now?
