New Delhi: Actor Shahid Kapoor’s love affair with Kareena Kapoor has always been a centre of attraction for the gossip mongers.

Though it’s been almost a decade that the couple has parted ways, but their chemistry post break-up did catch a lot of eyeballs.

And now the two will be seen together in ‘Udta Punjab’.

Indeed, this has raised the excitement level for the movie which was quite evident during the trailer launch of the movie when Shahid and Kareena were present on the same stage.

While the fans were thrilled to see them together, Shahid had confessed that he intentionally avoided getting clicked with Bebo saying, “If I and Kareena click pictures together then people will just write about it and keep talking about it only.”

Not only Udta Punjab, these 6 Bollywood movies were also leaked before release

And now Kareena has also come forward in support of Shahid and confessed that she is scared of negative reactions.

“I don't think he meant it that way. This is an important film dealing with a serious issue. He didn't want the attention to be diverted from the film to trivial issues like us together. I totally agree with him. Also, him and me together was too long ago. You know one of the reasons why I don't stay in this whole thing is that I feel I will just drown if I start worrying about the way people react to things. I get scared of negative reactions. I stay away from trolls, etc. I think those who can take it are stronger people,” Kareena told an entertainment portal.

Directed by Abhishek Choubey, ‘Udta Punjab’ is based on the substance abuse in Northen part of the state and its effects on the youth. Also starring Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh, the movie is all set to hit the theatres on June 17.
