New Delhi: Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is going through a quite busy schedule both on personal and professional front.
The actor is currently busy with two of his movies, ‘Rangoon’ and ‘Udta Punjab’.
While ‘Rangoon’ is currently in its post production phase, ‘Udta Punjab’ is ready for promotions. However, it’s also his personal life that is keeping him on his toes.
His wife Mira Rajput is expecting and the perfect dad Sasha is leaving no stone unturned to make the soon-to-be mommy feel special.
From long drives to vacation to dinner dates, Shahid is doing it all for Mira and trying his best to spend as much time as possible with his lady love.
If the gossip mongers are to be believed, the ‘Haider’ actor is even planning to ditch the promotions of ‘Udta Punjab’ so that he can be with Mira.
“The makers of the film want to promote the film in an innovative way and build up more excitement for the audiences. Zee Company the music label of the company has come up with the idea for few city tours with the entire cast and crew. The team wants Shahid who plays the rock star to take his role off-screen and perform at the several concerts to be held around the nation. But Kapoor is not keen to be a part of the promotional tour as he wants to be with his wife Mira Rajput who is all set to become a mom,” a source reportedly told an entertainment portal.
On the other hand Balaji CEO has quashed these rumours saying Sasha has been there for all the promotional events of the movie and will continue to do as well.
“It’s absolutely baseless. In fact, Shahid has been there for all the promotional activities across and continues to promote as we speak. Unlike other films, with Udta Punjab, we are being very selective with the GEC shows that we visit, owing to the content of the film,” Ceo of Balaji Motion Pictures, Aman Gill was quoted saying.
It is also reported that the team of ‘Udta Punjab’ is planning to host a few musical shows with the cast of the movie across some cities as a part of promotions.
‘Udta Punjab’ also features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh. Helmed by Abhishek Choubey, the movie is slated to release on June 17.
