Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor fans have to wait a little longer now to see the chemistry of these two amazing actors in their upcoming film Batti Gul Meter Chalu as the release date of the movie is postponed. The upcoming comedy-drama, which was slated to release on August 31, will now hit the big screens on September 14 this year.
The news was shared by Bollywood film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, who tweeted, "#BattiGulMeterChalu to release on 14 Sept 2018... Stars Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor... Directed by Shree Narayan Singh."
A few days ago, the duo wrapped up the shooting of the film with a dance number shot at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai. The song has been choreographed by renowned choreographer Ganesh Acharya and sung by Mika Singh.
'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' is about bringing the social issue of electricity shortage to the notice of people and to encourage authorities to investigate the inaccuracies of electricity bills.
Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film also features Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles. With its new release date, the movie will now clash with Kajol's Eela.
