Actor Shahid Kapoor is said to have been roped in for film maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmavati’. Looks like the actor has already begun preparing for his role in the periodical drama. Reportedly, Shahid has also changed his look for ‘Padmavati’.
In fact, his recent Instagram posts give a glimpse of his royal look for the movie.
Currently, Shahid is seen sporting a beard and a moustache. The actor indeed looks dapper in this royal appearance.
According to the media reports, Shahid will be seen playing the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh opposite Deepika Padukone.
Interestingly, this is the first time Shahid will share the screen space with Deepika.
Reportedly, ‘Padmavati’ will also feature Ranveer Singh as the antagonist Allauddin Khilji. Though, there have been reports that Ranveer has got insecure of Shahid being a part of the SLB magnum opus, however, these turned out to be mere rumours.
So far, Sanjay Leela Bhansali hasn’t made any official announcement about the cast of the movie, it is reported that ‘Padmavati’ will go on the floors next month.
