New parents of tinselvile Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput have finally named their newly born daughter as ‘Misha’. The couple has a special reason for choosing this name for their princess.
‘Misha’ is not just an amalgamation of Shahid and Mira’s name. In fact, the name itself means ‘god-like’.
Isn’t it cute?
Proud daddy Shahid took it too micro-blogging site Twitter to announce the name of his baby. The actor also wrote his obsession with his new role of being a father, and how his little princess doesn’t allow him to leave her side.
Shahid and Mira took almost three weeks to name their daughter born on August 26. There have been reports that the couple wanted Baba Gurinder Singh the head of Radha Soami Satsang Beas, to name their daughter, as both Shahid and Mira are his staunch followers.
In fact, they had even flown to Amritsar to meet the Radha Soami Satsang head.
Interestingly, Shahid and Mira are not the only one to name their daughter with the combination of their names.
Earlier, Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukerji too had named their daughter as Adira, which was also a clear amalgamation of their names.
On the work front, Shahid is said to have been roped in for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmavati’, also starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. He will reportedly begin shooting post his paternity break.
