Shahid Kapoor found his leading lady for Arjun Reddy remake and she is from SOTY2
After days of speculations, the remake of one of the best Telugu releases of 2017, Arjun Reddy has its leading superstar as Shahid Kapoor. The actor agreed to step into the shoes of Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda for the emotional drama and now it is learned that the makers have zeroed in on the leading lady as well. She is none other than Tara Sutaria.
Yes, the girl who will be making her big debut into Bollywood through Dharma Productions ‘Student Of the Year 2’ alongside Tiger Shroff and Ananya Pandey, will be starring opposite Shahid Kapoor in the remake of Arjun Reddy. Tara has been shooting for her debut film in Dehradun and even before her first film hit the theatres, she has bagged another big project. However, no confirmed from the makers are made yet.
The film is about the medical student who falls in love with his junior and revolves around the anger issues that he suffers after a heartbreak. Actor Shahid Kapoor took to his social media to announce that he is on board with the film. Sharing the selfie with the producers Murad Khetani, Ashwin Varde and director Sandeep Vanga, he wrote, “Team ARJUN REDDY is READY! Here we go. Wish us luck guys. @imvangasandeep @MuradKhetani @ashwinvarde".
Arjun Reddy was widely acclaimed and earned cult status in Telangana. The locations of the shoot are not finalized yet but the word has it that it will be shot in part of North India and abroad.
Tara’s debut film will hit the theatres on November 23, 2018, whereas Shahid’s upcoming flick ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ will release on 31 August 2018.
