Shah Rukh Khan delivered his first TED Talk at Vancouver last night and brought the whole house with his entertaining avatar. The highlight was his lungi dance that entertained the live audience to the fullest.
The Raees actor opened up about a lot of aspects of his life during this session and gave the audience quite a few life lessons.
But it was his jokes that he cracked in between and a small performance on lungi dance took the audience by storm.
King Khan opened his talk by saying, “I sell dreams and I peddle love to millions of people back home in India who assume that I am the best lover in the world”.
Further, the actor compared humanity to himself an aging actor trying to adapt to changes.
“Humanity is a lot like me, it’s an ageing movie star, grappling with all the newness around it, wondering whether it got it right in the first place and still trying to find a way to keep on shining regardless,” opined SRK.
Referring to the night when he lost his father at the age of 14, Shah Rukh said, “From that night onwards, much akin to humanity in its adolescence, I learned the crude tools of survival.”
It was a sprawling talk. And while he wasn't as tightly focused as some others throughout the event, Shah Rukh Khan turned out to be the funniest speaker of TED 2017 thus far.
Concluding his speech, SRK said, “The future you, has to be like an aging movie star, who has been made to believe that there is a possibility of a world which is completely, wholly, self-obsessively in love with itself.”
