Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is a man with a golden heart. The actor, who came to Mumbai with just Rs 20 in his pocket, has been ruling the world of cinema for decades now. A few days back, it was being circulated on Social Media that the actor donated Rs 45 crore to Pakistan gas tanker accident victims and people immediately started criticising the actor. However, upon investigation, India TV found that the news was fake. We checked with Shah Rukh Khan’s media team and came to know that the actor did not donate any money for the victims across the border.
However, it is a known fact that Shah Rukh Khan is generous and has often given huge amount in charity. The actor doesn’t like to publicise his donations, not many people know that SRK contributed to Prime Minister’s fund scheme in 2004 when Indian Ocean Tsunami struck.
In 2012, the superstar adopted 12 villages to increase awareness among people towards environment. Apart from this, he is also associated with Make A Wish foundation, which works for the development of physically disabled kids.
In 2014, his company Red Chillies Entertainment made a charity of Rs 25 crore for the development of rural areas.
In 2015, when flood hit Chennai, the superstar donated Rs 1 crore to help the victims.
Shah Rukh deserves all the love and adulation that people shower on him. On the professional front, SRK will next be seen in Harry Met Sejal alongside Anushka Sharma. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the movie is slated to release on August 4.
