There’s a lot of buzz about Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming Jab Harry Met Sejal. The superstar being part of the movie is not the only reason behind the existing hullabaloo around the movie. There are many reasons for the massive anticipation of Imtiaz Ali’s rom-com drama. One of the noteworthy reasons is that Shah Rukh Khan is making a comeback as a romantic hero after doing movies of varied genres in last few years. His last romantic role was in Dilwale, which was however subdued by his action hero avatar. But this time, we would be finally to see our ‘King of Romance’ back in his form.
Earlier this year, Shah Rukh Khan featured in a crime-thriller film Raees, in which he played the role of a bootlegger Raees Alam. His role in the movie was completely paradox of what we’re used to see. He was as fierce in the movie as he was required to be. Although, there were romantic numbers between him and his lead actress Mahira Khan, but they were not satisfactory enough for SRK’s romance buffs.
In 2016, SRK did one of the biggest experimental movies of his Bollywood career- Fan. In the movie, he played the role of both protagonist and antagonist himself. His acting skills were lauded by critics around the country. No matter how good the movie was, the secret Shah Rukh Khan fan inside us craved for the lover boy in Shah Rukh Khan.
Later in 2016, Shah Rukh Khan was praised by critics for his performance in Dear Zindagi. No doubt, SRK was commendable in his role of Dr. Jehangir Khan. The camaraderie between SRK and his lead actress Alia Bhatt was one of the major plus points in the movie. Overall, the movie was worth an experience, but deep down inside, we all missed the frivolous and romantic side of Shah Rukh Khan.

Ever since Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming venture Jab Harry Met Sejal was announced, Bollywood buffs are eagerly waiting for the release of the film. Another reasons behind the excitement for JHMS is Anushka-Shah Rukh Jodi. It would be the third time when Anushka Sharma and Shah Rukh Khan will be sharing screens.
Jab Harry Met Sejal is a romantic comedy directed by Imtiaz Ali. Shah Rukh Khan will be playing the role of a travel guide who has lost his way in life, while Anushka Sharma will appear as Gujarati girl Sejal who’s looking for her engagement ring in Europe.
