Actors Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were loved as the on screen Devdas and Paro. While their chemistry lit up the screen, Ash and SRK did not work together after the 2002 movie. As it happens, it was King Khan’s decision that did not allow cine buffs to see them together and he got Aishwarya exited from five movies.
An old video of Ash in conversation with actress and chat show host Simi Grewal has surfaced on the Internet, in which this revelation was made. Aishwarya replied to her equation with King Khan when she was questioned why they did not pair up quite often on silver screen; this despite rumours being abuzz that they were working in five movies including ‘Veer Zaara’ and ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’.
To this, Ash said that there were a couple of movies of which she was supposed to be a part of, but suddenly they weren’t happening. Simi told that SRK had revealed it was due to his interference in her personal life (which he shouldn’t have), that those movies never happened. On being told this, Ash said that she did not know about it.
The diva added that she was taken aback and hurt as she was not given any explanations. However, Aishwarya maintained that she did not ask Shah Rukh questions because she isn’t that person.
“It's not in my nature to ask someone. If they have to explain, they will do it on their own. If they never did, they never intend to. I would probably question within myself but I wouldn't go up to a person and ask why,” Aishwarya said.
Well, seems with time this has changed. After 14 years, the two stars have been roped in for Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. Though Aishwarya has a pivotal role in it, SRK will be seen in a cameo.
