When Aamir Khan’s “Dangal” created a huge buzz across the nation and even worldwide, the entire film fraternity celebrated in a splendid manner. And, on Saturday Aamir threw a success party which was not only grand but also star-studded all the way. From Karan Johar to Rekha to 'Dangal' girls - Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanaya Malhotra came together to celebrate Aamir's labour of love.
“Dangal” now holds the distinction of being Bollywood's highest grosser of all time and its success party had to rock. And boy oh boy, the party was rocking with all the glitz and glamour of B-town celebs.
Aamir wore a Nehru jacket and stole our heart immediately. His wife Kiran Rao chose a gorgeous golden sari for the event which looked perfect on her. The duo shared an 'aww' moment on the red carpet as Mr Perfectionist sweetly kissed Kiran’s cheek. The two were extremely courteous hosts as they welcomed their guests.
Karan Johar heaped praises on the actor as he said, "Aamir is a game-changer and he has given mainstream cinema a new voice."
'Dangal' girls - Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanaya Malhotra - posed on the red carpet with their on-screen mom Sakshi Tanwar. While Fatima looked gorgeous in a black number, Sanya showed off her glamorous side in a one-shoulder dress.
The otherwise solitary Rekha made it a point to be present at the bash and applauded Aamir in person..
Vidya Balan walked in hand-in-hand with husband Siddharth Roy Kapur. The actress looked like a dream in a golden Anavila sari.
Alia Bhatt came in with director friend Ayan Mukerji. Shahid Kapoor looked suave in black and his wife Mira dazzled as always in a blue number.
The red carpet witness a whole lot of bonding - if on one hand, veteran actresses Waheeda Rehman and Asha Parekh posed together.
On the other hand, former beauty queens Dia Mirza and Lara Dutta were seen chatting nineteen to the dozen.
