Superstar Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar is unstoppable in China. The movie has entered its fourth week, but it refuses to slow down. The grand total of the film now stands at Rs 736 crore. It is indeed a great news for all Aamir fans. The movie also featured Dangal actress Zaira Wasim in a pivotal role. The numbers were shared by trade analyst Ramesh Bala on social media.
He took to micro-blogging site Twitter and tweeted, “@aamir_khan 's #SecretSuperstar maintains No.1 status in #China on Day 26..Total gross now stands at US$114.52 Million [₹ 736 Crs]”
With such a good response, the movie has become the second highest non-Hollywood grosser in China after Dangal. It goes without saying that the superstar enjoys a huge fan following in the country. Directed by Advait Chandan, the movie revolves around a girl who aspires to become a singer, but her father’s fear forces her to hide her identity before uploading her first song on YouTube.
The film was praised by critics and did decent business in India.
On a related note, Aamir is currently occupied with the work of his upcoming film Thugs of Hindostan alongside Katrina Kaif and Amitabh Bachchan. The movie is slated to release next year.
