Secret Superstar BO Collection day 2: Aamir Khan’s film earns 14. 10 cr, grows 304 pc in Australia

Secret Superstar, which released across 2840 screens worldwide, faced tough competition from Ajay Devgn starrer Golmaal Returns.

Aamir Khan’s Diwali release Secret Superstar hit the cinemas on October 19 amid festive mood and great expectations. Starring Zaira Wasim, the film started slow at the box-office and collected a decent Rs 4.50 crore on the first day of its opening. Now, Secret Superstar box-office collection day 2 is out. The Aamir Khan’s production venture witnessed a considerable growth on Govardhan Puja and earned Rs 9 crore on second day of its release, according to BoxofficeIndia.com report.  The film, which released across 2840 screens worldwide, faced tough competition from Ajay Devgn starrer Golmaal Returns. The Rohit Shetty’s film has earned a whooping Rs 33 crore on its opening day.

Coming to Secret Superstar, there’s good news for Aamir Khan fans. The movie has shown 304% growth in Australia, according to Bollywood Hungama. The film hit the Australian cinemas on 23 screens and minted Rs. 11.45 lacs. Secret Superstar collected 5.67 lacs from 17 screens and the it’s box-office collection went up by 209.39 % on Day 2 in the New Zealand box office, the report added.

While Aamir Khan has a cameo role Secret Superstar, Zaira Wasim is the real hero of the film. The Dangal actress plays a young girl who aspires to become a singer but her father’s disapproval forces her to hide identity while uploading her first singing video on social media. 

Now, that Golmaal Returns has created a massive buzz by earning Rs 33 crore, it will be interesting to see whether the audience will go for Ajay Devgn’s comedy film or Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim’s musical drama on the big day of Bhai Dooj.
