Bollywood actor John Abraham is all set to produce his upcoming movie, 'Batla House' with Bhushan Kumar and Nikkhil Advani. Nikkhil Advani will also direct the film. Taking to Twitter, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news, writing, "IT'S OFFICIAL... Bhushan Kumar, Nikkhil Advani and John Abraham join hands for #BatlaHouse... All three will jointly produce the film... Directed by Nikkhil Advani... Written by Ritesh Shah... Starts Sept 2018... Filming in Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai and Nepal."
John will essay the role of a cop in the real-life inspired film. The film is based on the real-life incident of 'Batla House Encounter', officially known as Operation Batla House. The incident took place on September 19, 2008, against Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorists in Batla House locality in Jamia Nagar, Delhi. 'Batla House' will be shot in Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Jaipur, and Nepal.
The film is scheduled to start the production in September 2018.
Meanwhile, John Abraham is all set to show his patriotic streak again with his forthcoming film 'Satyaameva Jayate' has said his film is unfiltered and hardcore commercial film.
John Abraham was interacting with media at the trailer launch along with his co-actors Manoj Bajpayee, Aisha Sharma, Amruta Khanvilkar, director Milap Zaveri, producers Bhushan Kumar and Nikhil Advani on Thursday in Mumbai.
In 'Satyamva Jayate', John features as a vigilante taking out the rotten apples of the police department who are corrupt in nature.
Talking about nature of the film, John said: "This film deals with patriotism and corruption but I think this is an unfiltered, hardcore commercial film.
