Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor's next project Sanju is high on the buzzword and rightly so. The blue-eyed boy of the tinsel townis playing the titular role of superstar Sanjay Dutt in the biopic. The film will present the controversial life Dutt on celluloid. The makers of the film have been keeping the buzz alive by revealing Ranbir’s different look one poster after another.
Today, director Rajkumar Hirani took to Twitter to share Ranbir Kapoor’s latest look as Sanjay Dutt. “Here is Ranbir as #Sanju in the 90’s. #RanbirKapoor #RajkumarHiraniFilms @VVCFilms @foxstarhindi”, the filmmaker captioned the poster.
Sharing another poster recently, Rajkumar Hirani wrote, ““One more 2016 look of Ranbir as #Sanju! Will post 90’s look tomorrow. #RanbirKapoor #RajkumarHiraniFilms @VVCFilms @foxstarhindi.”
Ranbir Kapoor, who has wowed everyone with his uncanny resemblance to Sanjay Dutt for his upcoming film Sanju, revealed about interesting facts about the much talked about biopic.
The actor says the fanboy in him was scared to play his icon on screen in Sanjay Dutt's biopic "Sanju" but he could not let go of the opportunity as it was a screenplay that was "sent from heaven".
The actor said it was not an "acting gig" for him but something personal as it gave him the opportunity to be a part of the story of someone he admires. "I was always a Sanjay Dutt fan. So for me, it was like a fan trying to play his icon on-screen. The hardest thing was to give confidence to myself that I can play this man... I did not have the confidence, the courage, understanding or the acting chops to do it," Ranbir told reporters at the teaser launch of the film in Mumbai.
"Sanju", also starring Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal and Vicky Kaushal among others, releases on June 29.
