Amidst all the appreciation and rave reviews, Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju fell prey to piracy. Soon after the release, Rajkumar Hirani's much-awaited biopic on Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was leaked online. However, after the complaint by T-Series, police came into action and arrested 25-year-old man from Noida. Earlier, Race 3 was also leaked on Facebook.
The accused identified as Sumit Kumar has been nabbed from Chotpur Colony, Noida Phase 3. He has been selling soft copies of Dutt biopic for Rs 10-20. T-Series management filed the complaint against the accused who has been into this illegal activity on many occasions.
Police recovered pen drive, memory card along with the pirated soft copy of film Sanju from his shop They even found hard disc, laptop and several other things. Sumit Kumar has been sent to judicial custody after being produced before the court.

On a related note, Sanju had a blockbuster opening. The movie set the cash registers ringing by minting Rs 34.75 crores on the first day. Ranbir Kapoor-starrer, which emerged to be the biggest opener of 2018 is expected to cross Rs 100 crores in 3 days. Sanju has a terrific star cast including Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal, Manisha Koirala, Anushka Sharma among others.
