Ranbir Kapoor is riding high on success these days. With his latest release Sanju doing earth-shattering business on the box office and more big films in his kitty, Ranbir is living the time of his life. This goes without saying that Rajkumar directorial Sanju has given Ranbir a dynamic comeback in Bollywood. The movie has already entered the Rs 200 crore club and has become Ranbir’s first Rs 200 cr film. Now the numbers are expected to be higher and higher.
The movie opened to good numbers and entered the coveted Rs 100 cr club in just three days and collected Rs 186.41 cr in just six days. Sanju minted Rs 16.10 cr on its seventh day and the total collection now stands at Rs 202.51 Cr. Similar numbers are expected on Day 8 as well. Bollywood Trade Analysts have predicted that the movie's total box office collection will stand around Rs 215 crore after 8th day.
Leaving behind big films of 2018 like Race 3 and Padmavat, Ranbir Kapoor’s film is breaking all the existing box office records. In just seven days, Sanju has crossed Salman Khan’s Race 3-lifetime business as well. It won’t be wrong to say that the movie is unstoppable. Along with Ranbir Kapoor, actor Vicky Kaushal also received praises for perfectly playing the role of Kamli.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the numbers on micro-blogging site Twitter. He tweeted, "#Sanju is 200 NOT OUT... Has an EXTRAORDINARY Week 1... Crosses *lifetime biz* of #3Idiots [₹ 202.47 cr] in 7 days... Fri 34.75 cr, Sat 38.60 cr, Sun 46.71 cr, Mon 25.35 cr, Tue 22.10 cr, Wed 18.90 cr, Thu 16.10 cr. Total: ₹ 202.51 cr. India biz."
On a related note, the movie also featured Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Boman Irani, Dia Mirza and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles. Sanju was bankrolled by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films in association with Fox Star Studios. It was released on June 29.
